The Synthetic and Functional Biomolecules Center (SFBC) at Peking University (PKU) is an interdisciplinary research institute at Peking University. We aim to build a world-class interdisciplinary research program at the interface of chemistry and life sciences, which will provide new technologies and research strategies to address fundamental questions in biological research and human diseases. Currently there are 7 research groups and 10 scientists in the center, with research areas covering biomolecules and metabolites in various living systems. In the next several years, we intend to explore the following research directions:

1. New generation of biotherapeutic technology and targeted delivery 

2. Immunol chemical biology

3. Synthetic biology and protein evolution

4. Chemical tools-enabled biological discovery 

We are seeking for applicants for the Tenure-Track Assistant Professor positions at the interface of chemistry and biology, broadly defined. Candidates with research interests in chemical biology, biotechnology and related interdisciplinary fields are especially encouraged to apply. We seek candidates with a Ph. D. degree who have demonstrated excellence, originality and productivity in research. We look forward to the participation of young talents to our internationally recognized chemical biology program.
